From January the 1st 2009 The Gdynia Martitime School is increasing some of the prices.
We have kept the increases to a minimum and hope that you all find them reasonable .

We are kindly informing, that with the date of 19th of November 2007 new reservoirs of Turkish straits - Bosphorus and Dardanelle will be introduced as a new training.
It is due to a new demand of companies operating liquid cargo carriers in this area.
The School issues a separate certificate, which confirms training on mentioned routes.
Price of this training has been etablished at €560.

On 29th of October 2007 finished the first in Poland, organized by The Gdynia Maritime School, course on Captain degree accoring to IYT standards.
Two participants have passed an exam on YM Ocean and seven on YM Offshore degree (one person did not start the practical training).
The preparation took place in the School's building, and practical exercises at sea, Bay of Gdańsk.
The documentation is being completed and graduates will receive their American diplomma of YM Ocean and YM Offshore shortly.
Now, in winter, we are suggesting theoretical courses, but later in spring practical studies at sea.
Please , note these are two separate courses and can be done independently, however the theoretical at first.

On 18th of October 2007, the School took part in the "1st European Maritime Research Policy Conference" in Brussels.
Within many considered topics a marine education was also discussed and described as a "bottleneck" in shipping.
On a request of participants, this issue will be discussed more widely at 2nd conference in Romania

AGREEMENT BETWEEN INTERNATIONAL YACHT TRAINING AND GDYNIA MARITIME SCHOOL HAS BEEN SIGNED

Almost 6900 yacht crew are needed for year 2007.
There are currently 17,9 miles of new Superyachts under construction in 25 different countries.
   The Gdynia Maritime School has entered the training business specialising in the education of professional yachtsmen. On January 30th 2007 a licence agreement was signed between
International Yacht Training
in FT Lauderdale Florida and The Gdynia Maritime School.
The school will be promoting and training professional yachtsmen for megayachts as per International Yacht Training standards, approved by the
British Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA)
, up to the rank of Master of Yachts 200 GT Ocean.

  The Gdynia Maritime School Ltd and
Teomaki
of Oslo have agreed on cooperation for training of ship officers in Ship Management Systems. For this purpose, the Teomaki.SM system has been installed at the training facilities of The Gdynia Maritime School Ltd.
  Gdynia Maritime School Ltd. will also utilize Teomaki.SM Personnel module to support their crew management.
  Teomaki.SM Personnel Control enables the user to quickly gain a simple overview of all personnel. It contains all necessary basic information on each individual; follow up of training, education and other relevant data.
NEW SIMULATOR
  We have acquired new LIQUID CARGO HANDLING SIMULATOR
(LNG, chemical, Crude Oil/Product Tankers), to to enrich our educational offer.
